Manavya (HUMANITY) is among the first few Non-Government Organisations (NGO) in India to understand the ramifications of HIV / AIDS epidemic and to take steps to rehabilitate the innocent children and women of this dreaded disease. Thus was born Manavya situated about 12 kilometres from Pune in village Bhugaon, District Pune,Maharashtra, a home for nursing, caring and sheltering orphaned and destitute children and women afflicted by HIV/AIDS. Manavya believes in the holistic approach to the development of children afflicted by HIV/AIDS. 'Sparsha Manavyacha' CD about Manavya Published.'Sparsha Manvyacha' an information & awareness CD documenting the work done by Manavya in the past decade was published at the hands of DR. H.V. Sardesai on the 11th of February 2008, the third death Anniversary of Late. Vijayatai Lawate the founder of Manavya.
